Verse of the day
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; he shall never permit the righteous to be moved. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
Anxiety often results from not really understanding the nature of God as Father, or not fully trusting in Him to be who He says He is. However, throughout scripture, He repeatedly makes Himself known as one who is good, and only desires to do good to all who would believe in Him. Today, Father wants to reach out to many who are experiencing one form of anxiety or the other – who are worried about what they don’t know or are nervous about a current situation.
Before we came into a consciousness of being, Father already predetermined in His heart to show us kindness and mercy. This is why He sent His Son that no one would perish but all, including those that had no prior knowledge of Him, may come to have life in abundance.
Before we call to Him in prayer, He answers, and while we are yet speaking, He hears.
Jesus exemplified a life free of anxieties while He lived on earth. He always made His requests known to Father, believing that Father heard and lived by what He saw Father doing. Jesus never worried about what to eat, what to wear, what would happen on the morrow or fretted about a current situation. All He ever needed for life and ministry on earth was supplied unto Him. Beloved, Father desires to be to us, who He was to Jesus while He walked the earth.
Jesus fulfilled His purpose on earth and encouraged us to live as He did – not worrying about future outcomes, but trusting and obeying one step at a time. In doing this, we express our trust in our Father’s nature, that He is good, and He will never let us down.
Father, I declare that You are a good Father. I cease worrying and keep from fully trusting in Your ability and intentions toward me. Help me to see You and hear You more clearly, as I continue to place my trust in You.
