Verse of the day
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
Every temptation we face is primarily aimed at doing one thing: getting you to turn on God or doubt His Word. And isn’t this what sin is? Living apart from God? Depending on the situation, this might mean being tempted to make a way for yourself or to gratify the flesh, or enthrone some other god in your heart and let that reflect in your behavior.
God is Faithful
God is not only able to keep you from falling away or stumbling in your walk of faith, He is committed to seeing that you live victoriously.
God is on Your Side
God loves you. Do you really know this? If you do know it and trust Him, why would you ever believe He’d set you up? God does not tempt anyone. No, He certainly doesn’t cause it but allows it – according to our text. Why?

First, you must understand that although God has blessed you, you still have to choose that blessing (Deuteronomy 30:19). He loves you infinitely but you still have to choose to be saved. A truly loving God would never force anything on you. From the very beginning, He has always shown what is right and what His will is, but because He is Love, He steps aside and lets you choose.
You Can Stand
Just like people often say, “Every problem is an opportunity for a creative solution”, with God, every test, temptation, and trial is a chance for Him to step in on your behalf. It’s a chance for you to stick your feet in and say, “I know Who I have believed. I believe His Word, and I choose to live my life by it”. God is always on your side and He wants you strong. He will help you see beyond where you are and help you win. There’s always a way out.

Father, I thank You that I can stand strong because You are with me. I can resist the devil and flee from evil because You have written Your laws on my heart and You strengthen me.
