Verse of the day
Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Like the seven notes in music and the seven days in a week, the rainbow has seven colors. These colors of the rainbow are observed to be red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. When one or more of these colors are missing, we cease to have the rainbow and are left with an imperfect mesh of beautiful colors.
The rainbow is formed when the (yellowish) white light from the sun has been reflected, refracted and dispersed in the atmosphere to form the spectrum we see as the circular rainbow. Invariably, the colors in the spectrum evolve from the single-colored light from the sun.
The body of Christ must understand that although it has One Light from One Source – the Sun (Son), we may yet find several expressions in this one body. There may be the blue, well-worded section of the body, the red, prayer-driven, or orange prophetically-driven expression. Yet, it is needful to understand that we need one another. Sects or divisions must not exist among us. We are all of one Spirit, Father, Lord, Faith and baptism, and must endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the binding power of peace.

Our unity, which has the Spirit as its Source, is expressed when we live in peace with ourselves. The body must arrive here to function as it should.
Living at peace with ourselves does not mean having zero confrontations, but accepting the other as being a fellow member of the body of Christ and building our relationships and interactions on such premise. It is not a peace of quiet but one of truth.
The arms, feet, eyes, ears, and mouth are all members of the same body. None must be exalted above the other. Every part and expression of the body of Christ must be united as it is in the Spirit. And this begins with you.
If you cannot accept your brother of another expression as being important to you, how would you accept sinners like Jesus did? If the body of Christ struggles to establish unity within itself, how then will it unify a nation of diverse faiths and cultures? The unity of the body, nation and the world begins with how well you let go of yourself to accept your brother of another expression to be one with you.

Daddy, I’ll endeavor to keep and promote unity in Your body. I accept with open arms my brother of any denomination or expression as myself.
