Verse of the day.
But the Lord has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge.
The Rock of Gibraltar served a protective purpose to hide the British Soldiers during the World War Two. However, this rock was not totally impenetrable as enemies found a way to lay siege and attack.
Now, this rock served limited purposes – it offered protection from attacks, it was designed like a home but still had its limitations, but I’d like to introduce you to “The Rock of Ages”.
The Rock of Ages is UNLIMITED in His abilities. He doesn’t just hide us from physical assailants but He is a refuge from spiritual assailants, emotional, mental, financial forms of assailants. Wow! Isn’t that something? A Rock that can actually protect you from whatsoever it is that you are going through? Wouldn’t you just like to run there right now in the state you are in? Check out the good news – The Rock of Ages is just right beside you. You don’t need to pack your bags and set up on a trip to no man’s land, you just need to run into Him right now.
The Psalmist was telling of his story and how the wicked had plagued him but he was also confident in the Rock of Ages because He is the ONLY secure hiding place (Psalm 91: 1-2)
However, to be safely defended by the Rock of Ages, you have to play by His rules and the rules are not complicated – Faith and obedience. It’s really that simple!

Dear God, You are my hiding place and I hide in You today. I will not to stray out of Your covering.
