Verse of the day.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
The word ‘worship’ has mostly been misconceived. While many understand worship to be nothing beyond singing and give their all to ensure that their songs sound perfect, some understand it to involve dancing. For some also, it goes further to include financial and material offerings and sacrifices. Although these qualify as worship in a sense, they are restrictive.
If all you picture when worship is mentioned is slow or fast-paced songs, dance, a tenth of your substance or financial offerings, you should seek greater clarity. Worship is the presentation of our bodies as a holy and acceptable living sacrifice to God.
Only the saved in Christ can worship God, for their spirits have been made alive by the indwelling Holy Spirit Who is given at salvation. Worship is, therefore, the outward expression of this Life of God in us.

What is Your Worship?
It is not enough to proclaim worship as a lifestyle. Everyone does that. But how often do we live this out?
A 3-year-old may get her father a pack of sweets as a gift for his birthday, but how would you see a 25-year-old who does the same?
Just as your walk with God is individual, so is your worship. Your worship of God is greatly dependent on your knowledge of Him.
Your current spiritual curriculum may require that you visit orphanages once a month, while another is required to minister to the sick on the streets, spend an hour a day in private fellowship with God or three. These are individual expressions of worship.
Whatever the case may be, you must not compare your worship to another’s, for though we live corporately, God often sees us in solitude. Your worship should express your revelation of the Father and obedience to the instructions you receive from Him as relates to your current position in your walk with Him. It must not begin and end as a ritual that only occurs in a gathering.
Refusing to accept and worship based on your revelation of Him places a dampener on every other form of worship offered.

Father, I will worship You in spirit and based on the revelation of Your Truth to me.
