Verse of the day
But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
When she was only seventeen, Kathryn Kuhlman, the notable evangelist and, God’s general wrote three wise sentences down in her little red book. They read:
Whether life grinds a man down or polishes him depends on what he’s made of.
A diamond cannot be polished without friction nor man perfected without trials.
Great pilots are made in rough waters and deep seas.
Our walk with God begins with the salvation of our spirits and admittance into a life aimed at making us just like Christ. God will bring us through various tests to achieve this. These tests are borne of a revelation of Himself and will prove how much we have embodied the Life of God and how much He means to us.
Job recognizes the place of tests in the life of one who walks with God when he compares his purification to that of gold. Having been fazed with many tests, he drew one conclusion, “when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.”

When you have learned to embark on a personal journey with God and to follow the individual path He has cut out for you, you will face many tests. Sometimes, you will receive legitimate offers and opportunities that are not of Him. These, if taken, will derail you from the path He has chosen for you. Other times, you will encounter pain, God will require that you let go of people, things, desires, goals, and ambitions that matter most to you. In these situations, you can either choose to follow the things your heart desires or stick with His desires for you. Consistently doing the latter would cause you to die a thousand deaths as He finds greater expression in you.
Beloved, no matter the tests you experience, if you’re convinced of being on a path He has chosen for you, be encouraged, you can only come forth as gold.
