Verse of the day
When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Besides having the life of Christ, Christ is our life, not the life we will have. Christ is not the object on which the saints live but our very life itself. What form of life is this? Eternal life. In being saved, We are now dead to who we were but now alive in Christ who is now the life we live. This is eternal life.
We do not have to wait until we get to heaven to live this life or become like Christ. It starts right here on earth. Christ is the author of spiritual life, the fountain from which eternal springs flow, and He is our life. This life is in Him, given by Him and entails knowing and being like Him.
Even while we live on earth, we have been called to live this eternal life. We continue to walk in the vision of Him, in communion with Him, and conformity to Him. We become eternally driven, not focused on the fickle things on this earth.
We have no doubt that Christ is coming back for us, His Saints and the pleasant part is we will get to be truly just as He is- not just in the spiritual but also our physical state becomes like Him. This is where the perfection of this life occurs – when He comes to take us home. There will be a quickening of our mortal bodies by the life inside us and we will be just like Him in His glory. Even the frail and weak will become strong. The life of Christ that blossoms in our Spirit transcends to our bodies as we become fully like Him.
Isn’t it amazing to have a greater hope beyond the ephemeral things on earth? Isn’t it beautiful to know that the suffering of now will birth a glorious ending? What a blissful future we have. Be encouraged.
We do not have to wait until we get to heaven to live eternal or become like Christ. It starts right here on earth. Christ is the author of spiritual life, the fountain from which eternal springs flow, and He is our life.Click To Tweet
Father, I am fully persuaded that eternal life resides and is at work in me. I work in the Spirit of grace and eternal life in me daily. In Christ I live, I move and have my being now and forever.
