Verse of the day
For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
It’s amazing how being content can save us a lot of stress. We live in a world where ambitions and its rush create a desire for amassing of wealth and properties which could also stir up the need for unhealthy rivalries and competition.
As God’s children, it’s important to keep the love – which won’t be found in a place where we are burdened with outdoing one another. This is not the Father’s dream for us. He wants us to be at peace with one another, radiating and sharing His love.
This is not to mean that we are docile in our daily activities or leaving things to chance, but it means we are not encumbered with chasing ‘things’ that we forget the ‘things that matter’. When we care more about the success of others than ours, we are exhibiting a Christ-like behaviour that was made evident when He laid down Himself for our sake – He died that we might live. Selflessness at its peak.
When we appreciate the things we are blessed with, little or much, we are enabled to also appreciate what others are blessed with and not see it as a sheer case of God not loving us enough. God loves us so much and is so invested in our lives that He knows exactly what is right for us in the right proportions, and would give to us accordingly. Since He is our Shepherd, we are guaranteed that we would not suffer lack for He owns and leads us through green pastures, He leads us to still waters so that we are not swept away by torrents.
More so, it brings peace of mind.God loves us so much and is so invested in our lives that He knows exactly what is right for us in the right proportions, and would give to us accordingly.

Lord, please help me to always be content with the things I have that I may not conceive hatred towards others.
