The Faith Diet

Day 210
Verse of the day

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

2 Peter 1:5

The Christlike life is not stagnant, dull, or ‘dead’. It is a working, active, and exciting life. And we will only get to fully enjoy it if we put all our heart, mind, soul, body, and all that we are into it. Nothing is worth more than the life we have received by faith.

Seeing that we have received all that pertain to life and godliness and have now become partakers of Father’s divine nature, it is necessary to apply the inherent power in this Faith in our daily lives – in conquering sin and its expressions. We must live according to the efficacy of the gospel to actively enjoy and manifest the power in the gospel inherent in us.

Are your thoughts and actions virtuous? Can people testify to your godly Character? Jesus exhibited a character that emanated from the Spirit of God within Him. Can others see the unconditional love of Christ in you?

Will your Faith grow without adequate knowledge of the Word of God? No. We cannot possess all that we have in redemption without knowledge of God’s Word. This Word feeds our Faith. We begin to know and become the reality of the nature of God that we partake in. We are made to bask and glow in His being through our knowledge of His word.

Moses of the old covenant, spent time knowing God that it affected even his physical being. How much more we who received the faith of the new covenant. Knowledge of God, His ways, and His Word helps us bask in the fullness of our faith.

Beloved, never be content with a level of grace or faith but ensure to build up your faith until the final day.

Today’s Confession

I am grateful, Dad, that You do not withhold Yourself from me. I ask for help to walk worthy of this calling and for the desire to spend every waking and lying moment with You.
