For With God Nothing Will Be Impossible

Day 153
Verse of the day

For with God nothing will be impossible.

Luke 1:37

There is nothing God cannot do. Yet, there are many things He will not do. Why? God doesn’t work alone. Not now, when He has made us one with Him, in life and in labour. In Christ, God has given us access to Himself. He has also saddled us with the responsibility of representing Him here on the earth (2 Corinthians 5:20) for we have been made co-labourers with Him to fill the earth with the living knowledge and experience of God.

Representing Christ doesn’t entail getting saved and going off to live to please Christ as best we can. No. Representing Christ is ‘representing’ Christ; gradually approaching until you become just like Him in spirit, soul, body that you can actively play any role Christ would have in the world today. This (to be like Christ) is the greatest challenge of the believer.

For with God nothing will be impossible.

Despite being constantly weighed down by trials, sorrows, pain, weaknesses and the flesh, it is still possible that God can bring us to the place of the perfect man in Christ. Our responsibility is to believe and work with Him towards this end, not only in our lives but in the lives of those around us. This is the chief purpose of God for us.

When we behold the omnipotence of God in this light, we see the exceeding greatness of his power and omnipotence towards us. This surpasses the power it takes to get material things which even the devil can give.

It doesn’t matter what your past reflects. With God, the vilest sinner can become the best of saints, for with Him, nothing is impossible.

Today’s Confession

Dad, from today, I exalt Your purposes over mine. I believe and subject myself to experiencing Your work in making me just like Jesus, my Brother.
