Verse of the day
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The infilling of the Holy Spirit is a promise of the Father to you. You mustn’t be scared, skeptical or ashamed of the experience but must embrace it. Why would you easily accept the knowledge of being sealed by the Holy Spirit in redemption but reject the infilling?
They were all filled…
The infilling of the Holy Spirit is not an experience for the ‘Pentecostals’, it is not denomination-selective, neither is it for the ‘fanatic’. There is no junior version of the Spirit for children, no milder version for the aged; the often quiet and introvertive is as worthy and in need of the experience as the extrovert. All who believe in Jesus can and must seek to be filled with the very same Holy Spirit. He enables us to expressly reveal the Life and Person of Christ in us.
They began to speak with other tongues…
To speak in unfamiliar tongues is an evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Although the Spirit Himself gives the utterance, you must speak. You will never speak in tongues if you refuse to open your mouth in faith and speak, without minding ‘how you sound’. Besides being your birthright, speaking with other tongues is needful for your spiritual edification.
In all, the aim of the infilling of the Spirit, its power and varied means of manifestation, is to reveal Christ in us, and to the dying world. To reject this experience is to impede this work in you.
Freely the Holy Spirit has been poured out, freely receive. I pray He finds expression in you.

Dad, thank You for the outpouring of Your Spirit on Your sons and daughters, of which I am one. Today, I receive the Holy Spirit’s infilling. I am filled with the Holy Spirit of God.
Activity: Take some time to pray after you’ve read this. Don’t resist, speak in faith as He gives utterance.
