Verse of the day
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Promises are not exactly the easiest thing to keep for a number reasons – life inclusive. We make plans and change it; in the process, we disappoint people due to our decisions or indecisions but in one way or the other, life still goes on.
So do we go about life thinking nothing would work for our good? No. Why? God’s promises towards us are rock solid. While it is possible for Man to fail, it is impossible for God to fail.
There are situations in life that may cause our faith in God to shake. Imagine watching your five-year-old on life support and praying to God for a miracle only to have the child die. Things like this could be a direct attack on the spirit and could take more than words of comfort to keep the family sane.
Holding on to our faith in Christ has to do with a lot of treasure recollection. If we make it a habit to store up God’s goodness and blessings in our hearts especially in times of need, it becomes a treasure-store that reminds us of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ when moments casts aspersion on our belief.
Knowing that a direct attack on our peace of mind could cause us to lose faith, the devil is ever active in this department, but we must always recollect that God who has promised and fulfilled His promises in the past would do it again.
We’ve also got to learn to trust God’s timing for our lives as impatience has a way of blinding our eyes to His faithfulness. It is easy for us to grow weary and tired of waiting for the manifestation of His promises, but God is faithful and we know it. We just need to start living it.
