Verse of the day
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
One of the most stressful sights during any commute is seeing someone carrying several bags with no one to help them. It’s uncomfortable. It is also justifiable to assume that the carrier would do anything to be relieved of their baggage.
Now imagine that the same carrier had the opportunity to place their baggage in a waiting cart, but vehemently refused because they’d rather have it close, after all, it’s theirs.
A lot of us make this mistake. God never wants us carrying burdens for they slow us down in our pursuit of Him. The race that has been set before us is long and we can do with less baggage. This doesn’t mean travelling empty, it means travelling with what’s needful, travelling light.
It involves putting off heavy weights like pride, anger, malice and all forms of sin. In Christ, these are no longer yours and should be put off. The only bag to carry is that light one which contains all things that are pure, true and inspired of the Holy Spirit who travels with you. As you yield to Him, you’ll find yourself radiating divine love and light. You, being free of these burdens, literally start to fly.
Jesus already provided the cart when He took to the cross for our sakes, when He tore the veil, He created access for us to cast all our fears, worries, disappointment on Him. He came ready for us.
There is enough space in God’s arm for you. You only need to come to Him with all your worries and you’ll receive all that you need to live in fullness.

Lord, I come to You today with every weight I seem to be carrying, and trade them for Yours just as You’ve offered. Amen.
