Verse of the day
And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.
My mother used to play a trick on me. Sometimes, when I requested things from her, she’d reply, “go and get what you need from the store (any store) in my name”. I never went, I knew the effort would be futile.
It’s a different case when your mother is the first lady of a country. Her name would command a greater degree of respect. You’d hardly think twice before using it whenever possible. Why? You are assured of the power and integrity of her name.
Jesus, pointed the attention of His disciples to the efficacy of His name. With His most powerful name, they could access the Father and all that He had given them.
The same goes for us. We are believers; we live in the dispensation Jesus was referring to. We are “in that day” and are no more separate from the Father. Jesus was crucified, died, resurrected, ascended and is seated in the Heavenly place that we might have access to the Father. We do not need to “send” Jesus to our Father, or choose to suffer in silence because of fear of Daddy’s wrath.
Jesus says, anything you ask Him in my name, He will give you. He says, in that day (which is now), you will have my Spirit, He will grant you access to dad and dad will answer you in my name.
We mustn’t worry: the name of Jesus and His Spirit within us grant us unrestricted access to all that we will ever need in life and in godliness. There are no exceptions or limits. He says, “whatever you ask”.

I believe in the efficacy of the name of Jesus and I receive anything I ask from now on in that Name!
